I used to like to mess with people by giving out the phone number of my former employer in odd groupings.
Normally it was 782-7800.
So I would say 78-27-800. Or 7-8278-00.

It's surprising how much harder it becomes to interpret a number correctly when someone says "seven, eight twenty-seven, eight hundred" instead of "seven eight two, seventy-eight hundred".

Pretty sure it didn't amuse anyone but me, though.

I try to install most of my new accessories on my bike but I have found that I often can not meet the standard installation time that the manufacture suggests. Heck most of the time, I have to call up reinforcements to assist me in the process. Half the fun is trying then I just get frustrated but that does not matter once you accomplish your objective and the part is installed!

I don't know if I quite agree with your assessment, but almost. The whole point of quartz movements is that they're both cheaper and more accurate and reliable. They just don't have the craftsmanship and heirloom quality of my TAG. And for right at $1000 you can get a Xetum, with a Swiss mechanical movement.

As it happens, the watch came back from Oakley for the third time, and they STILL didn't fix it correctly. I'm done with their "service" and just going to take it to a local jeweler for repair. I'll have to pay for it, but what's my time worth?

That's a pretty good review.. I like the way that you highlight the good and not just the bad. Although I hate to break it to you, if you want a watch that is precise and will give you no trouble for at least a few year, you need to spend in upward of $5000. For under $1000.00 the holeshot is a really solid, quality time piece. Mine has given me no trouble at all so far, so I am sad to hear that yours has not been the case. Till next time ( pun intended) :)

To be honest my friend, Harley's biggest downfall has always been, and always will be, it's arrogant customers. Even if you're not an arrogant Harley owner, a lot of bikers will just assume that you are. I live in Britain, and to be totally honest, I find that Triumph riders are just as bad, as are those who ride classic restored motorcycles. The only difference is they don't have quite as much stigma as Harley riders. Personally, I couldn't care less what someone rides so long as they're nice to me. But it really gets up my nose when someone acts like an asshole just cause I'm riding a brand they don't like.
