On giving up prejudices


Classes have resumed and PSY290 – Research Methods looks intense. Building on PSY230 – Statistics last semester, which culminated in hypothesis testing, it looks like this class will have us put theory into practice for an actual research paper. Considering these classes are accelerated, I’m a little nervous about timeframes. I also have no idea what topic I’ll do my paper on yet. Since this is ultimately a psychology class, the quote above seemed apropos. After all, facts and empirical tests (reality) should disabuse us of unwarranted beliefs.

I may be silent here, or “cheating” and relying on more quotes courtesy of The Economist for the next seven weeks or so…
